CIE Fellowship Member
CGS is an International Fellowship member of Cambridge University’s
International Examinations. This special award was bestowed upon CGS for
its commitment to CIE and partnership for their in-country training programme.
Cambridge
Examination Centre
CGS is a registered centre with
the University of Cambridge. ‘O’, ‘AS’ & ‘A’
Level Examinations are held in the school premises. Pre-Tests and Checkpoint
Tests are also held for all students of class 8, in English, Mathematics and
Science. The Checkpoint Tests are held to test the student’s strengths
and weaknesses, as a guide to preparing for the ‘O’ Level examinations
and to act as a basis for the action plan for study.

Listing
C.G.S. is listed in the ISS (International School Services) directory of International
Schools. CGS is the only school to be officially recognised as an international
school in Chittagong. The ISS website can be viewed at www.iss.edu.
Round
Square Organisation
As members of the ‘Round Square’ organisation, CGS is regularly
represented in conferences and projects that the organisation undertakes.
Patrons include: His Majesty King Constantine, HRH the Duke Of York CVO ADC,
Mrs Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Richard von Wel-zsacker and Mr. Nelson Mandela. In December
1998 CGS hosted The Annual Regional Junior Round Square Conference.
College
Board
CGS is the only SAT I, SAT II and Pre-Sat center in Chittagong. SAT examinations
are conducted at the school premises several times each year.
